KIT at EUROSIM 2026

KIT at EUROSIM 2026: KIT presented two scientific papers at EUROSIM 2026 in Genoa, Italy

From 21 to 23 September 2026, our partner, the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), participated in the 12th EUROSIM Congress in Genoa, Italy.

Organised by the Federation of European Simulation Societies, EUROSIM is an international conference that brings together researchers, academics, and industry experts to exchange knowledge and discuss the latest developments in modelling, simulation, and their industrial applications. The 2026 edition focused on the theme “M&S & AI: Opportunities and Challenges for Present & Future”, exploring the growing connections between modelling, simulation and artificial intelligence.

During the conference, KIT presented two scientific contributions focused on advancing Digital Twin technologies for smart manufacturing systems:

  • Data-Driven Extraction of Hierarchical Multidimensional Stochastic Petri Nets for Comprehensive Digital Twins of Battery-Enabled Manufacturing Systems, exploring data-driven modelling approaches for representing complex manufacturing systems and their interactions.
  • Provenance-Aware Explainable Model Extraction for Digital Twins: A Case Study in Manufacturing Reliability, investigating methods to improve the transparency, traceability and explainability of Digital Twin models.

KIT’s participation in EUROSIM 2026 provided a valuable opportunity to increase ONE4ALL’s visibility within the international scientific community, showcasing research activities closely aligned with the project’s technological objectives.
